Brighton Invites FIDM Students and Alumni to Corporate HQ for Open House

Iconic jewelry and accessory brand Brighton Collectibles invited FIDM Students and Alumni to their corporate headquarters in the City of Industry last week for an open house, meet and greet, and presentation on their summer 2019 paid internship program. Brighton Corporate Recruiter Chrisanne Goodwin led the event.

The brand has a nearly a 30-year history in Los Angeles and they’ve long had a working relationship with FIDM. Many grads have launched their careers with the company including designers, buyers, product developers, account executives (wholesale), and visual merchandisers. We currently have nearly 20 grads enjoying careers at Brighton.

Renowned FIDM Alumna and Fashion Designer of her eponymous label, Karen Kane worked at Brighton as a patternmaker early on in her fashion career.

Brighton was launched in 1991 with a single collection of belts. Over the years, it has evolved into an extensive line of products. You'll find their products at over 180 Brighton Collectibles stores and in over 4,000 fine specialty boutiques or online.

Brighton is one of the few design houses where their own designers sketch each creation by hand and then follow the product from concept to fruition.

Brighton’s 9-week summer internship program begins in June. Any questions about the program should be directed to Kevin Keele in the FIDM Career Center at kkeele@fidm.edu.
